Following initial reports from TMZ and People, Costa Rican police have confirmed to ABC News that actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner has died. Warner became a household name when he played Theodore “Theo” Huxtable on the hit sitcom “The Cosby Show” from 1984 to 1992.
“We deeply regret the passing of Malcolm-Jamal Warner at Playa Grande. He was swept away by a strong rip current and died by drowning,” Costa Rica’s volunteer lifeguard association, Caribbean Guard, said in a statement on Monday via Facebook.
