EUREKA, Calif. (AP) — Several earthquakes shook the far northern coast region of California early Monday, but authorities received no reports of harm from the jolts.

Earthquakes have shaken north-central California residents, with a magnitude 4.4 tremor reported near Cobb and a 3.9 earthquake near The Geysers last week.

Several early morning earthquakes have shaken California’s far northern coastal region. But authorities haven’t received any reports of damage or injuries from the jolts.

Western North Carolina has seen several earthquakes in the past few months, particularly near the Canton area. From late May to mid-June, there were at least eight earthquakes recorded near the area.

All three earthquakes were reported within the same general area north of Malibu where a magnitude 4.7 temblor had hit four days earlier.
