Republicans, particularly those in Congress, have been overwhelmingly supportive of broad cuts across the federal government at the hands of Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency.

In the closed-door meeting, Senate Republicans are supposedly pushing Musk to pass his efforts to cut down federal spending and the federal workforce through Congress. Lawmakers are looking to be part of the efforts to overhaul the government.
