The Los Angeles Lakers introduced Luka Doncic to the press on Tuesday morning. Doncic, wearing a sensible sweater, was joined by Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka who wore a leather jacket that signaled not only could he pull off any trade,

During Luka's introductory press conference on Tuesday, Lakers GM Rob Pelinka mentioned Dallas Mavericks GM Nico Harrison by name, saying he was "instrumental" in making this trade happen. I don't think Pelinka meant this in any sarcastic way, but it's impossible to thank someone you just robbed and not sound a little condescending.

Kidd was unaware that Harrison was shopping Doncic. Harrison reportedly had nearly a month of dialogue with Los Angeles Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka about the move. Not once did he tell the coach he thinks he’s aligned with about what was in the works behind the scenes.
