Two mass shootings made up a large portion of those injured despite Wednesday's mass shooting — which left four dead and 14 injured — not being in the tally.

A t least five people were killed and 36 others were wounded in shootings across Chicago during the Fourth of July weekend, according to police. The ages of the victims range from 16 to 52.

According to the Chicago Police Department, 44 people were shot in 32 separate shootings between 6 p.m. Thursday and midnight Sunday.
