Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise didn't appear in Ford v Ferrari, but the roads in Hollywood never really end. They just take sharp turns, and I'm excited and hopeful that an Interview with the Vampire reunion might loop back around, in the form of an F1 sequel.

The F1 actor, 61, spoke to with The National in an interview published July 3 to discuss his latest racing film, when he explained what exactly went down that prevented he and Cruise, 63, from starring together in what later became the 2019 sports drama featuring Matt Damon and Christian Bale.

Pitt also noted that he’d love to work on a follow-up to Cruise’s 1990 racing film ‘Days of Thunder.’ Before F1: The Movie raced into theaters last week, Brad Pitt was originally set to star in another racing film alongside none other than Tom Cruise .
