The president has said he will host a UFC fight at the White House in 2026 to mark the 250th anniversary of American independence.

UFC President Dana White endorsed the idea enthusiastically and superstar Conor McGregor expressed interest in participating.

A UFC spokesperson confirmed to The Athletic 's Mark Puleo on Friday that plans are in motion for a UFC fight to take place at the White House as part of the United States’ 250th birthday celebration in 2026. The news follows President Donald Trump’s public announcement of the idea during a speech in Iowa on Thursday.
