A sort of Achilles heel for IU women's basketball has been a tendency to fall apart in the fourth quarter. That didn't happen Sunday against Nebraska.

Nebraska women's basketball visited Indiana on Sunday. After falling behind big in the second quarter, the Huskers failed to come back.

A 13-0 run that included Henna Sandvik’s 3-pointer to end the first quarter and a series of 3-pointers by Moore-McNeil and Garzon permanently put the Cornhuskers to rest. Indiana led 30-14 at the end of that surge and 36-24 at halftime.

Those 13 makes are tied for the most by an NU opponent this season, matching Creighton’s total in November. Nebraska (16-6, 7-4), which entered the game leading the Big Ten in 3-pointers, was 3 for 11.

Indiana women’s basketball has gotten back to its winning ways with back-to-back victories over Washington and Nebraska. The Hoosiers had entered something of a slump with losses to Illinois and USC at home followed up with one at Oregon in the first game of the team’s trip to the Pacific Northwest.
