Texas authorities said Tuesday 87 people died in Kerr County as a result of catastrophic flooding along the Guadalupe River on the Fourth of July. Five girls and a counselor from Camp Mystic remain missing, the officials said.

The number of fatalities connected to the Kerr County floods has risen to 75, local officials said Monday as search and rescue efforts continue and Camp Mystic grieved ”the loss of 27 campers and counselors”.

At least 90 people are dead after heavy rain led to devastating flooding in Texas. Kerr County was hit the hardest, with at least 75 deaths, including 27 children. President Donald Trump signed a disaster declaration for the county and the Federal Emergency Management Agency is on the ground there.
