Head Coach Brent Venables has kept quiet about his pursuits for the coaching staff, but it seems the cat’s out of the bag now as the Oklahoma Sooners finally have a new defensive coordinator with Nate Dreiling.

The Oklahoma Sooners may be close to filling out their coaching staff. According to George Stoia of SoonerScoop.com, the Sooners are targeting the recently hired Arkansas State defensive coordinator Nate Dreiling to join the staff.

Goodwin was previously the defensive coordinator at Clemson, where he served as Brent Venables’ analyst from 2012-2014 and as an assistant from 2018-2021. He was promoted to defensive coordinator after Venables accepted the head coach position at Oklahoma.
