Demonstrators have taken to the streets across multiple states on Thursday to protest President Donald Trump’s Administration in a day of action honoring the late civil rights icon Rep. John Lewis, with more events planned across the country in the evening.

"Good Trouble Lives On" is known as a national day of action and brings topics of controversial changes happening throughout the country to the events. SHARON On Saturday, over 1,000 nationwide protests are being held to call for change, defend civil and human rights and to honor a late civil rights activist.

In 1963, 18-year-old Charles Dumas watched in awe as John Lewis delivered his speech during the now-famous March on Washington. Sixty-two years later, on the fifth anniversary of Lewis’ death, 80-year-old Dumas joined demonstrators in front of the Allen Street gates to deliver a speech of his own.
